Boating Needs

I was just reading that a whale beached itself in Brant Beach in Long Beach Island. It was over 16 feet long and weighed over 3,000 pounds. Another whale had beached itself in December, but both of these circumstances are quite unusual for LBI.

Long Beach Island is known for great fishing, but whales are not something one expects to see in this area. When we were down the shore in early June, one of the things we enjoyed doing at night was driving down to the Barnegat Lighthouse at night and watching the sunset. It was nice to see all the boats coming and going through the inlet that attaches the bay to the ocean.
