Computer Clean Up

I've got some serious backing up to do today on my computer. I've been busy the last few days working on a large project, and I've been collecting quite a few files. I'm one of those all or nothing people with backing up. You'd think I'd have learned my lesson in the past, but I get lazy sometimes or just forget.

I did a good backup about 2 or 3 months ago, but yikes, I have so much new stuff on here I need to get on it! Do you clean off your computer everyonce in awhile? It's like a clean sweep, I'll save what I may need later, than start picking through my files and deleting things. I did clean through it awhile ago and deleted a crap load of programs I just haven't used in eons. Wow, did I free up space! I was blown away at how much stuff I'd collected. Sadly, my bookmarks look just as bad.

As for my laptop, I need to get some laptop memory, because I'd like to customize it more and toss some extra programs on there, but I really don't want it slowly down. Vista takes up a lot of room as it is. Lately, I most use it just for writing, and that's not a big deal, but I'll be traveling a lot this summer, and I'll want to bring it along. I know I'll want certain programs on it too!
