Tiger Attacks Three, One Killed

Did you hear about the tiger attack yesterday at the zoo? A tiger escaped killing one man, and mauling two others. Here's the thing, this same tiger attacked a zoo personal during a public feeding last year.

Imagine going to the zoo on Christmas Day, and you're the victim of a tiger attack. That's scary stuff. The three men were all in their 20's, and the two are expected to be okay, but had bad claw and teeth wounds. The doctor was on Good Morning America.

It was a 300 pound female tiger, and they're trying to see how she escaped. It was not through the door, and the walls of the enclosure are 20 feet tall, along with a moat.

No, this was in San Francisco...there's a link to the story at the bottom of the post if you'd like more info.

First, Merry Christmas Deb...hope it was a great one for you, your son and any other family/friends of yours.

I have very mixed feelings about zoos, but the zoo in San Francisco has been cited multiple times for animal related violations. In fact, one of these same tigers was responsible for another attack a year ago. This was a senseless tragedy made all the more frustrating by the fact that it was easily preventable. Sorry for the rant!
