The Need to Know
Madame Tussauds wax museum opens in Washington, DC on October 5th. There was space for 51 figures, and you know how they decided who they would place there- they took a survey. The popular vote won!
That's the thing, even a museum takes surveys sometimes. How do you know what people are thinking if you don't ask? If you'd like to learn about business, you take a market research survey. It's a basic concept, but one that still works. If you want to know, you have to be willing to ask.
Companies can gain valuable information by specifically asking particular questions. I've taken surveys where I was asked about values, thoughts about branding, ideas, and more. I've been stopped at the mall and taken surveys in person too. I've been part of research groups. What may seem like a few miutes of your time, can really help a company target their needs and identify their strengths and weaknesses.
