Yellow Snow and Small Towns

I was over reading Lisa's blog at Hippie Spelunker, and the latest entry about Yellow Snow really floored me! We're not talking about the "Don't eat snow where the huskies go" yellow snow! It's a pollen fest in Alabama, and she said it's so thick down there right now, the dog slid on the porch! Our cars get that lovely yellow "dusting" in the spring, but not coated like a blanket! I can't even imagine in, and don't think I could deal with it. Sure my Flonase works wonders for my allergies, but I'm not sure about blanket thick pollen!

Lisa lives in a small town in Alabama, and it's been an adjustment, but one that has her living in the small town environment she's wanted.  She lived in Texas before this. I understand adjustment! It took a while to shift from PA to NJ and it's only 1 hour difference. For me, the neighborhood wasn't the big change, but the distance I was from my friends and family.

Stop by and see Lisa over at Hippie Spelunker today.
